Privacy notice.

What personal data this website collects, why, and what you can do about it. We've kept it short and plain.

Who we are

This website, oddly.uk, is run by Oddly Digital Ltd ("we", "us"). We're the controller for the personal data described here. If you have any questions about this notice or your data, email hello@oddly.uk.

Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how people use the site (which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from and what device they use) so we can improve it. We don't use it to identify you.

Google Analytics sets these cookies:

CookieSet byPurposeLasts
_gaGoogle AnalyticsDistinguishes one visitor from another2 years
_ga_WN8NLY7EFKGoogle AnalyticsKeeps track of your current visit2 years

Google processes this data on our behalf, and it may be handled outside the UK under the safeguards Google provides. Analytics data is kept for a limited period set in our account, at most 14 months.

You can opt out at any time by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings, or by installing Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works exactly the same without them.

Fonts

The site's typeface is loaded from Google Fonts. To deliver it, your browser connects to Google's servers, which see your IP address. No cookies are set for this.

When you email us

If you email us, for example through a "Contact us", "Register interest" or "Ask about" link, we receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it to reply and to follow up on your enquiry, because we have a legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. We keep enquiries only as long as we need them for that conversation and any work that follows from it.

When you book a session or call

Our "Check availability", "Book a scoping call" and "Invite us to chat" links open Microsoft Bookings, run by Microsoft on our behalf. Microsoft collects the details you enter there, such as your name, email address and any notes, so we can arrange and hold the appointment. Microsoft's own privacy statement also applies to that page.

G-Speak

G-Speak, at oddly.uk/speak, doesn't use analytics or cookies and sends nothing to us or anyone else. Everything you type and save stays in your browser's local storage on that device.

Links to other sites

We link to other organisations' websites, including our Federation members, customers and social media profiles. Once you leave oddly.uk, their privacy policies apply, not this one.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • ask us to correct or delete it
  • object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it
  • ask for your data in a portable format, where that applies

To use any of these rights, email hello@oddly.uk. We'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first, though.

Changes to this notice

If we change how the site uses personal data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
